Edward Alexander (Aleister) Crowley (*12 de octubre de 1875 - †1 de diciembre de 1947) fue un célebre ocultista británico que adoptó como uno de sus nombres mágicos el de Baphomet. Sus principales obras son: Magick in Theory and Practice (Magick en teoría y práctica) y el Líber AL vel Legis (‘El libro de la Ley’).
